Svante Technologies Inc. (Svante) announced today that it has been named a Finalist in the Venture of the Year: Scaleup award category at Foresight Canada’s inaugural 2026 Canadian Cleantech Awards. According to Foresight Canada, this award category recognizes cleantech ventures who are well “positioned to take a leadership role on the global innovation stage”.

The Canadian Cleantech Awards celebrates the trailblazing ventures, dedicated adopters, and ecosystem supporters whose technologies and actions are accelerating Canada’s path to net-zero. This national program brings together innovators across sectors—from carbon management to sustainable agriculture—to highlight the companies shaping the future of climate solutions in the country.

“This year’s finalists represent an impressive array of technologies, leaders, ecosystem supporters, and investors driving a more resilient Canadian economy through innovation,” said David Sanguinetti, Interim CEO, Foresight Canada in a press release. “Their success deserves recognition, their dedication deserves praise, and their work deserves ongoing support—we are honoured to provide a global stage to share their accomplishments…”

“We’re delighted to be acknowledged in the Canadian Cleantech Awards by Foresight Canada – it’s a reflection of the dedication of our team and the real progress we’re making in scaling integrated carbon management solutions across the carbon capture and storage (CCS) value chain.”

Claude Letourneau, Svante’s President & CEO

Each nominee will be evaluated for separate Regional awards (“Cleantech Champion” and “Rising Star”) across British Columbia, Alberta, the Prairies, Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Canada, and the Territories. Finalists will be judged by an independent panel of cleantech experts, and winners will be announced on March 13 at the Climate Innovation Zone at Web Summit Vancouver.
